Last week Matt Hancock gave his most detailed speech yet on how he intends to help ensure health and care services become digitised. There was plenty of tough talk on enforcing interoperability standards. It is certainly an important and valuable pledge but, reflects Digital Health editor and founder, it’s far from a new one. Speaking at NHS Expo on 6 September, Matt Hancock said the interest of suppliers ‘are too often not aligned with the NHS’ interests’.
The partnership will allow the sharing of health records of up to 1.5 million people across the boroughs of Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey and Islington.
