GE and TomTec announce co-operation

  • 27 August 2009

GE Healthcare and Munich-based TomTec Imaging Systems have announced a formal strategic co-operation in cardiology IT.

The agreement is intended to ensure a seamless integration of TomTec’s CardioArena programme for analysing 2D, 3D and 4D data into GE Healthcare’s Centricity Cardiology portfolio.

The companies say this will help to streamline cardiologists’ workflows, increasing efficiency and reducing waiting times for patients.

“By combining forces, TomTec and GE Healthcare will deliver the tools cardiologists need to meet the challenges of ever increasing patient data and images,” said Juergen Reyinger, vice president and general manager of GE Healthcare for Europe, Middle East and Africa.
