Ex-health minister Lord Darzi is at the Medica medical technology show this week, championing British medical device firms. EHealth Insider was intrigued by the press release from UK Trade and Investment announcing that Belfast-based Intelesens was showing the world’s first wireless ‘non-evasive body-worn monitor’, designed to transmit details on cardiac irregularities. Could they possibly mean non-invasive? The notion of an evasive wireless monitoring system – presumably one that’s coy or reluctant to give a straight answer – sounded fascinating.
